For a century that produces more than 20 per cent of the planet's greenhouse gases, the United States (example). But in a report, a National Academy of Sciences panel warned that using the atmosphere as an industrial sewer could send temperatures soaring 2 to 9 degrees Fahrenheit in the near future — and called for measures that would (1).................
